Artist Talk withKatrin König and Gereon Krebber in the exhibition

On Sunday, 17th October 2021, 3:00 p.m., the focus will be on ceramics as a material and its technology. As an accomplished practitioner, Katrin König is available to answer questions. König, who teaches at the European Ceramic Factory (EKWC) in Holland masters an enormous bandwidth of knowledge, from own clay pits to programming high-tech ovens. With her international expertise and broad knowledge, she gives an insight on “how the Original material is transformed into whatever is possible without losing  itself in between ”, says Gereon Krebber. The artist was able to work closely with Katrin König at the EKWC: “She reads Ceramics like a book, from historical shards from China to trendy glazes with copper enrichment ". In conversation with the artist, König gives an insight into professional ceramic practices and advanced techniques to construction, firing and glazing in order to explain the work shown in Keramocringe.
