The event takes place within the framework of the lighting project #UrbanLightsRuhr. Regional and international artists are transforming the city around the Marler center from 12.10. until 29.10.17 in an experimental field for media and light art.

Since 2013, the Light Parcours has been hiking through various cities in the Ruhr area. The aim is to re-illuminate the relationship between city and art through the medium of light. On the themes of LIGHT - CITY - UTOPIE this time 8 artists open new perspectives on the once utopian architecture of the Marler city center. The city's urban development and social change are at the forefront. The artistic work forms a light parcours, which invites you to stroll, discover and actively participate in a complex city.

"Urban Lights Ruhr" is a project of # UrbaneKünsteRuhr and the Skulpturenmuseum Glaskasten Marl in cooperation with FH Dortmund, Department of Scenography.

With works by: Kristina Buch, Nikola Gansterer, Mischa Kuball, Isa Melsheimer, Martin Pfeifle, Michael Sailstorfer, Sans Façon and Hannah Weinberger.
