Under the title "RuhrKunstMuseen. The collection "was the first joint catalog published in 2010. It takes into account the overall idea of the network to make visible the versatile art landscape with its unique collection of modern art. An introductory essay by Georg Imdahl on the" Images of the Ruhr Area "is followed by a 150-page colored illustration section with the masterpieces of the museums. This journey through art history to the present is followed by self-portrayals of the individual museums with photographs of the exhibition spaces and architecture. Among the highlights of the collection include a.o. works by Liebermann, Renoir, Matisse, Lehmbruck, Marc, Macke, Kirchner as well as Albers, Richter, Stella, Schumacher, Höfer or Turrell.
